I'd like to point out that this is the fundamental basis of the ancient religion of Cribbage. The philosophy is that life is half luck and half skill and lends itself to the analogy that life is only half the cards you're dealt and half how you play'em.
I wholeheartedly agree with this first installment of Words of Wisdom and look forward to many more!
