The ladybugs have arrived! Purchase a bag of 250 live ladybugs to release in your yard for natural pest control (ladybugs love aphids, and aphids love to eat your plants!)Remember when releasing the ladybugs to do so at dawn or dusk (doing so helps prevent the bugs from flying away). Spray water on the trees or shrubs where you plan to release the bugs so they will have something to drink. A bag of ladybugs is a good defense for about 10 shrubs. Be sure to spread them around so they don't compete with each other for food.
You can also release ladybugs just for the fun of it! Kids love ladybugs, and having a few hanging around your yard won't hurt anything and may even do some good! Have a ladybug release party in your yard--it is a fun way to teach your kids about nature.
